When I think of Christmas music the first song that pops into my head is Winter Wonderland. Seriously, that song can put me in tears! One of the things that I've struggled with my entire life is that I can't sing a tune to save my life. I have the most horrible voice. I asked Annika to sing me her favorite Christmas song and she started singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer in her sweet little angelic voice.

Birthdays are not something that is easy for me to swallow. I remember the year I thought I was turning 25. I totally freaked out and started crying. Jamie came into the backyard where I sat sobbing and asked what the problem was. I said, "I can't believe I'm going to be 25." He told me I had the math all wrong and that I was turning 24. It took me several moments to calm down and realize that he was right, I was only turning 24!!! LOL
I've decided to stop counting birthdays. I am 29 and holding. The truth is I have to really think about how old I really am because I've been lying about it for so long!!!
I think the perfect age is whatever makes you happy. Now that I no longer think in terms of age I think that every year is the best!

I can't believe that I let my blog go!!!! I've been SUPER incredibly busy the past month. I tried out for two teams at the Sweet Shoppe and didn't make either of them. I didn't really expect to get the SweetShoppe Babe title, but I really did expect to get the Hybrid Babe gig. It hurt pretty bad when I got my reject letter.
Other than that, I've been busy with home life and school life. The kids just finished their baseball season. Finally we don't have practice every night...kinda. Alex has already started a one night a week football practice AND he was asked to play on a tournament team for baseball.
On the school front, we are winding down our year. State testing is finished, thank goodness!!!! I decided at this busy time of year to take a class too!!! I'm taking the Geology of Southern California. I really like the class and only have two more assignments to complete. I need to write a lesson plan on some aspect of So. Cal Geology and I have to make a visit to a place of geological importance.
On the design front....I'm thrilled to announce that I joined two new Creative Teams. First, I'm on ScrapKitchen's layout team. OMG, what a dream come true!!!! I've been a fan of Susan's since back in the day when she had her own store.
Secondly...Dani Mogstad asked me to be one of her altered girls!!!! OMG!!!! I've been a fan of Dani's for a long time too!! In fact, I've been wearing a "fan" blinkie for a few months now.

OH man, the past month has been crazy for me. I came down with that god awful flu, then Annika caught it, followed by Alex. Jamie only caught a little of it. I missed so many days from work.
Good news...I'm on a weight loss program. I've been on the program since the end of January and I've lost 29 pounds so far!!! The beginning of March was especially hard for me because of my birthday and a few out of town conferences.

Kim, the owner of Scrapbook N' Stickers sent me a PM at 2 peas a few weeks ago. She said that she loved my gallery and that she was interested in having me join her Entourage (Creating Team). I thought, oh, this is TOOOOOO GOOOD TO BE TRUE!!!! I'm pleased to announce that I have accepted the position. I'm THRILLED to get the chance to work with the NEW CHA releases.
On a side note, I'm sicker than a dog. Yesterday I attended a conference and the meeting room was FREEZING COLD, you know that cold that goes right down to your core? I was colder than that. We got home from the conference (about a 1.5 hour drive) and as I got in my car to drive home (someone else drove to the conference) I felt light headed and sick to my stomach. Fortunately I only had a mile to drive. I walked in the house, took my temp immediately, and saw that I was at 99 degrees. The aches and pains started and all I could do was sleep on the couch. I woke up an hour later, took my temp again and this time I was up to 102. It was a HORRIBLE night. Between the bouts of freezing and then frying up, I was in horrible pain. My body was just trembling and every muscle, joint, and even my skin just ached. At 2 am I couldn't lie in bed anymore. I came downstairs and almost immediately felt better. I've now got a NASTY cough, but the pain and the fever are gone. I hope the worst of this is behind me!
OMG!!! I can't believe how far I fell behind in my blog!!! Since my last entry I have about 10 more layouts to show off. Call me the bad blogger, go ahead, I DARE you!!!
First up is... Little Ladybug. These photos are from right before we moved from our old house. The kiddos found a ladybug in the backyard and brought it in. Alex was trying to give it to Annika but she kept freaking out! Finally the exchange was made. I used Love Shack by Shabby Miss Jenn, Caramel Pudding Glitter by Flergs, Black Jack, and CK Typeset
Next on the list is a layout featuring my girlfriend's new baby boy, Colton. He is the MOST adorable baby. I can't wait to meet him in person. SHe (my friend) moved away and we communicate my phone, email, and instant messanger. I have always wanted to create a layout using angel wings. I completed three adorable Annika layouts this weekend.
Adorable Annika was created using Flergs Caramel Pudding Kit and Glitter by Flergs. I just love her stuff so much (I know, I keep saying that, but it's TRUE!!!!) I felt that the outfit Annika was wearing was a little too bright, so I played with the photo a little bit, making the outfit a little less bright. My little thumb sucker. I have a love hate relationship with the thumb sucking. I know that I SHOULD hate it and I SHOULD make her stop. I LOVE that she sucks her thumb, it reminds me of how young she really is. She's my last baby and I want to hold onto that feeling FOREVER!!!
Be Mine was created using Amanda Dykan's Kiwi Mochacino and Caramel Pudding Glitter by Flergs. I took the photos of Annika last Valentine's Day. Her daddy gave her that pillow and boy does she love it!!!
Pure Joy was started last week at the crop I went to. I used Holiday Jingle and Merry & Bright, both by Gina Cabrera. I also added a touch of Caramel Pudding Glitter by Flergs. I have to add glitter to everything I do!!!!
